Application
The Silva Panel™ is engineered for interior and exterior applications. The Silva Panel™ can be used as ceiling tiles and wall panels, in entry ways, board rooms, feature walls, saunas and pool rooms, furniture, exterior cladding, garage doors, high-end fence panels and fascia boards. Proposed Fixing Methods
To assist our existing and potential Customers, Silva Panel™ is proposing various fixings systems that cover aspects of both residential and commercial applications. As most projects are Client specific, it is not possible to cover everything here.

For residential applications the most common method is a stainless steel surface fixing that is fixed to a vertical timber counter batten structure at the rear of the panel allowing plenty of air circulation (20-25mm will in most cases be adequate).

You can also use a powder coated flashing system at the rear of the vertical joints with a drip flashing at the horizontal joints, where a limited amount of space is available. Again, air circulation is a must.

For commercial applications where the above is not used there is a Silva Panel™ aluminum system available that allows you to create a rain screen system. This incorporates an aluminum bracket with a 40mm box section with aluminum batten attached. The panels are then attached to the batten system with aluminum drainage channels and recessed top and bottom aluminum sections fitted to panels. ***Note: Please see Illustration / slide #5 to 7

The Silva Panel system requires all panels to be installed in a tracking system. We are aware of another method, which allows for a staggered approach.
